We are a Learning Beyond Paper-based preschool academy, located on Barron Ave, East Memphis. We care for children from 6 weeks to 13 years old and provide a range of age-appropriate resources and activities to encourage their development right up until they are ready to join school.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy and mission are simple: “learning by doing”. We use a Learning Beyond Paper Philosophy to encompass this message, blending indoor and outdoor classrooms in a home-away-from-home environment, and creating a space where children feel empowered and ready to learn.

Who We Are
Global Preschool Academy got its start in Memphis in 2016, when Daphene Booker Harris recognized the need for quality childcare in the area. Growing from an in-home daycare, Global Preschool Academy is part of a high-quality group of childcare centres with a reputation for excellence. Our centres work together in a model of meaningful collaboration, supporting one another to ensure we can provide children and families with the support they need.
We decided to do things a little differently at Global Preschool Academy, creating a space which fosters early learning in a fun and safe environment, allowing children to explore the world around them. Our teachers are always there for support and guidance when needed, but we allow children to lead their own learning, following their interests and desires to encourage a life-long love of learning.
We believe our innovative approach gives children a bright and positive start in life as we encourage both exploration and discovery as well as emotional intelligence and building friendships.

Merging Teaching and Childcare
We offer a variety of programs, including childcare services for infants and toddlers, preschool, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten. We also offer after school care and holiday care for children aged 6 weeks to 13 years old.
We believe that it’s never too early to start learning and that it’s vital to always present opportunities for children to learn and grow as soon as they start at our center.
By developing our programs with curriculum experts and child care specialists, we’ve been able to hone in on what makes early education a success and created a learning program that allows our children to enter school seamlessly.
